Bubu - Motivate your child app for iPhone and iPad

This app is based on the experience of its author and his son.

Bubu app works as a mediator between you and your child and provides a set of rules that both of you should obey. All your family members can download it and enjoy exchanging virtual points for real goods. Rewarding your children is very important and this app defines a virtual currency that works very well.

Highlighted features:

1. No passwords:
After installing, you will be prompted to create new Parent profile. Just enter your nickname and you are in. Your profile will be accessible on all your iCloud-enabled devices. No personal information is shared outside of your family.

2. Two parents:
You can invite your partner to share your virtual family. He or she will be able to manage all your children and see their private information. You can invite partner right from within the app, when in close range to the other device. No annoying usernames or email invitations.

3. We all are family:
You may create a profile for each of your children*. Again, just enter their family nickname and you are done. All personal information are optional, but if provided, they never leave your family. Assign a photo to your little angel (or devil) to give the profile a personality. Or set up a date of birth to automatically create birthday gifts.

4. Personal device:
You can display profile of your children on another iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. Just install Bubu app and link their profile with the device. Your kids will see their score, upcoming tasks and progress of gifts, but will not be able to modify any of those.

5. Schedule rules:
The core feature of Bubu app is automatic management of repeating tasks. You create repeating tasks on weekday basis and you can define reward for completing them. Or choose from predefined set of tasks for school or preschool. Currently running tasks will then be displayed on the main screen of your child. In addition, you can create occasional bonus tasks worth extra points.

6. Trade a treat:
Next time your kids will ask for an ice cream, charge them points! Bubu allows you to define prices transparently, so ice cream will always cost the same. Want to limit their TV or iPad time? They will have to earn one or two points before turning them on.

7. We love gifts:
Children want to be nice! And you will see that after few weeks or months your child is gaining hundreds of points and this is an opportunity to motivate them in long term. Set up a Gift for christmas with limit of 500 points and they will do anything to be on Santas Nice List.

8. Time is points:
Being passive is not enough to maintain the score. Kids have to strive for at least 3 points every day, because every midnight Bubu app will take exactly 3 points from their score. Thats 21 points every week, so be sure to give your children enough repeating tasks.

9. Extra effort:
You are free to add extra points at any time*, because app cannot model all real-life situations. Be spontaneous! On the other hand, you can as well take them some points at any time, so this relationship is again bidirectional.

10. Virtual currency:
Points are virtual and are only intended to be used within Bubu app as a part of the game system. Bubu provides an indicative conversion rate from virtual points to real money (of any currency), that may help you estimate prices and rewards.
